Monica Barbaro Joins the Cast of ‘Crime 101’

by Barbara Miller

Monica Barbaro has joined the cast of Amazon/MGM’s heist thriller “Crime 101,” alongside Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Harry Berry, and Corey Hawkins.

The film is based on the novella of the same name by Don Winslow, and tells the story of a series of high-end jewelry heists along the Pacific coast that have gone unsolved for years, mainly due to the perpetrators strictly following their own set of rules known as “Crime 101.” The police blame the Colombian drug cartel, but detective Lou Lubesnick has other ideas and believes it’s the work of a single individual. He sets his sights on a jewel thief who is seeking one last score, and Lou breaks all the rules of “Crime 101.”
