Who is Marvel’s next big villain?

by Barbara

As Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans eagerly await the next big villain to take on the Avengers, there has been much speculation about who it could be. The MCU has introduced some iconic villains over the years, including Thanos, Loki, and Ultron. Each of these villains posed a unique threat to the Avengers, and it will be exciting to see who will be next in line to challenge them. In this article, we will explore some potential candidates for Marvel’s next big villain.

  • 1.Kang the Conqueror

First on the list is Kang the Conqueror. Kang is a time-traveling villain who has been a major thorn in the side of the Avengers in the comics. He is a brilliant strategist who has access to advanced technology, making him a formidable opponent. In the comics, Kang is actually a descendant of Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four. This connection could open up some interesting plotlines for the MCU, as the Fantastic Four are set to be introduced in Phase 4. Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang in the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, which could set up Kang’s eventual confrontation with the Avengers.

Another potential candidate for the next big villain is Galactus. Galactus is a cosmic entity who feeds on the energy of planets. He is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe and has been a major threat to the Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer in the comics. Galactus has yet to be introduced in the MCU, but with the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, it’s possible that we could see him make an appearance. Given his immense power, Galactus would be a formidable opponent for the Avengers to face.

Next on the list is Doctor Doom. Doctor Doom is the arch-nemesis of the Fantastic Four and has been a thorn in the side of the Avengers on occasion as well. He is a genius inventor and sorcerer who is obsessed with ruling the world. Doctor Doom has yet to be introduced in the MCU, but with the Fantastic Four set to be introduced in Phase 4, it’s possible that we could see him make an appearance. With his technological prowess and magical abilities, Doctor Doom could prove to be a challenging foe for the Avengers.

  • 4.Annihilus

Moving on, we have Annihilus. Annihilus is a villain from the Negative Zone who has been a major threat to the Fantastic Four and the Marvel Universe as a whole. He is a ruthless conqueror who seeks to destroy all life in the universe. Annihilus has yet to be introduced in the MCU, but with the Fantastic Four set to be introduced in Phase 4, it’s possible that we could see him make an appearance. Annihilus would be a formidable opponent for the Avengers, given his vast armies and destructive capabilities.

  • 5.Skrulls

Another potential candidate for the next big villain is the Skrulls. The Skrulls are a shape-shifting alien race that has been a recurring threat in the comics. They are known for infiltrating various organizations and governments, causing chaos and destruction. The Skrulls were introduced in the MCU in Captain Marvel, but they were portrayed as refugees rather than as villains. It’s possible that the Skrulls could be revealed as the true villains behind some of the events in the MCU, leading to a confrontation with the Avengers.

  • 6.Mephisto

Finally, we have Mephisto. Mephisto is a demon who has been a major villain in the Marvel Universe for decades. He is a master manipulator who seeks to corrupt and destroy the souls of heroes and villains alike. Mephisto has yet to be introduced in the MCU, but with the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s possible that we could see him make an appearance. Given his manipulative nature and his ability to twist reality, Mephisto could pose a serious threat to the Avengers and the entire Marvel Universe.

Of course, these are just a few potential candidates for Marvel’s next big villain. There are plenty of other villains in the Marvel Universe who could make an appearance in the MCU. For example, there’s the Masters of Evil, a team of supervillains who have banded together to take on the Avengers. There’s also the Enclave, a group of scientists who seek to create the perfect human beings and could serve as a threat in the upcoming She-Hulk series.

Ultimately, it’s hard to say who Marvel’s next big villain will be. The MCU has done a great job of keeping fans guessing and introducing new and exciting villains with each new phase. What is clear, however, is that whoever the next big villain is, they will need to be a serious threat to the Avengers and the entire Marvel Universe. With Phase 4 of the MCU already underway, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
