Matthias Schoenaerts has joined the DC superhero film “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” He plays the villain Krem/Krem of the Yellow Hills, a highly skilled swordsman and archer who also possesses some magical skills.
Millie Alcock (“House of the Dragon”) plays Supergirl. Craig Gillespie (“Cruella,” “I, Tonya”) is directing. The film is planned to start shooting in the fourth quarter of this year and is set to be released in North America on June 26, 2026.
Actor and playwright Anna Nogueira (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Hamilton”) wrote the script. The story is inspired by the comics created by Tom King and is said to strive to redefine Supergirl as “more than just a female version of Superman.”
“Superman: Legacy” will kick off the new DC Universe (DCU). James Gunn is directing and writing. It will be released in North America on July 11, 2025.
David Corenswet plays the new Superman Clark Kent. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane. Isabella Merced plays Hawkgirl. Eddie Gathegi plays Mister Terrific. Nathan Fillion plays one of the Green Lanterns, Guy Gardner. Anthony Carrigan plays Element Man Rex Mason. Maria Gabriela de Faria plays engineer Angela Spica. Nicholas Hoult plays Lex Luthor.
