The Russo brothers recently appeared at the London MCM Comic Con. When talking about the upcoming “Avengers 5,” they assured the film’s quality. They claimed that “Avengers 5” has a strong story core and said they wouldn’t return without a script as good as those of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
The development of the “Avengers” sequels has been extremely turbulent. After multiple changes in the creative team, at the 2024 San Diego International Comic-Con, Marvel announced that the Russo brothers, who directed “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” will continue to serve as directors.
Robert Downey Jr., who exited as Iron Man in “Avengers: Endgame,” will return to the Marvel Universe to play the biggest villain, Doctor Doom, in “Avengers 5.” It is reported that “Avengers 5” will start shooting in spring 2025 and is scheduled to be released in May 2026.
