The Disney animated film “Moana 2” has released its first batch of character posters. Alongside beloved characters like Moana and Maui, a new villain named Matangi makes an appearance.
The sequel takes place three years after the original. Moana, now the tribe’s new leader with a cute sister named Simia, discovers a new nautical chart. This leads to the revelation of an ancient island cursed by a power-hungry deity. To break the curse and reunite her people, Moana assembles new companions and embarks on a journey to explore the mysterious seas while also facing off against Matangi. Additionally, the film was originally planned as a Disney+ series but has been transformed into a big-screen movie. And there’s also a live-action version of “Moana” in the works.
