Shakira is set to return to the animal world in 2025! This exciting news was announced at the D23 Brazil Expo.
Shakira filmed a surprise video for fans, revealing that she will reprise her role as Gazelle in “Zootopia 2”, and that Gazelle will not only have a new look, new songs, but also new dance moves.
Besides Judy Hopps the rabbit and Nick Wilde the fox, classic characters from the first film such as Mr. Big and Flash the sloth will also return in the sequel. There will also be a whole bunch of new animals arriving in Zootopia. The new cast members of the sequel include Ke Huy Quan lending his voice to Gary the snake, which is described as “a creepy, slippery, and highly venomous snake”. Fortune Feimster, a comedian, will play Nibbles, a beaver who breaks the law. In addition, new characters like seals, hippos, and sea lions will also make their appearances.
According to the official plot introduction, the film tells the story of Judy Hopps, the brave rabbit police officer, and her partner Nick Wilde, the fox, teaming up once again to solve a new case, which is the most dangerous and complicated one in their careers.
The animated film “Zootopia 2” will be released in North America on November 26, 2025.
