Jude Law remains optimistic about the possibility of Fantastic Beasts 4, despite the franchise’s recent setbacks. The first spinoff in 2016 was well-received, but the 2018 and 2022 installments fared worse, putting plans on hold.
Law, who played a younger Dumbledore, hopes to reprise his role as he believes there’s more to the character’s story. However, Eddie Redmayne’s comments suggest the franchise may be over. The recent films’ poor reviews and box office performance, along with Warner Bros.’ focus on a Harry Potter TV show, make another Fantastic Beasts movie a long shot.
Though Law is open to returning, it seems audiences will have to wait a while before seeing another Wizarding World feature film, especially one from the Fantastic Beasts series.
