Simon Pegg, known for his role in the Doctor Who franchise, appears uninterested in returning to the long-running BBC series. The actor, who portrayed the Editor in a 2005 episode of the Ninth Doctor era, has expressed doubt about the need for a comeback, though he stopped short of outright rejecting the idea.
Pegg’s character in the episode was linked to a futuristic broadcast satellite and an alien creature, but it seems unlikely he’ll reprise the role. His hesitation may stem from several factors, including a lack of current interest, a busy schedule with other projects, and the prospect of returning for a one-off appearance.
Given Pegg’s established place in the Doctor Who universe and his involvement in other major sci-fi endeavors, his decision to stay away from a return is understandable. It may simply not be worth the effort, considering the logistical challenges and limited impact a brief return would likely have.
