The preliminary trailer for the original Disney·Pixar animated feature film “Elio” has been released. Elio, a boy who dreams of being “taken away” by aliens, has his dream come true and is accidentally mistaken by aliens as the leader of the Earth. Thus, an interstellar adventure begins.
“Elio” is a space adventure film. It tells the story of a little boy named Elio, who is an imaginative underdog. He is accidentally teleported to the Communiverse in a distant galaxy and is mistaken by aliens as the Earth’s interstellar ambassador to the universe. He must establish new connections with strange alien creatures, survive a series of terrifying trials, and ultimately discover the true meaning of himself.
The film is jointly directed by Adrian Molina, the director and screenwriter of “Coco”, together with Madeline Sharafian (“The Cave”) and Domee Shi (“Turning Red”). It features the voices of Jonas Kibreab, America Ferrera, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett and others. In the first still photo released simultaneously, Elio can be seen wearing his self-made full set of equipment, eagerly waiting to be “abducted” by aliens.
“Elio” will be released in North America on June 13, 2025.
