A particular adaptation of a Stephen King work, which has been a subject of much division among audiences and critics, is set to find a new streaming home.
Stephen King, widely recognized as a master of horror writing, kickstarted his published author journey with 1974’s “Carrie”, a novel that garnered him significant acclaim. Since then, he has continued to produce a plethora of renowned works such as “The Shining”, “Firestarter”, “Pet Sematary”, and many more. Over the course of his career, he has released dozens of books and hundreds of short stories.
Given the immense popularity of King’s works, it was only natural that Hollywood took a keen interest. His stories have inspired numerous adaptations, including “Children of the Corn”, “Misery”, the 2017 version of “It”, and Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining”. Generally, having King’s name attached to a project is seen as a major advantage. However, not all adaptations have been successful, and one such work is now making its way to a new streaming platform.
