‘Gen V’ Season 2 to Pay Tribute to Chance Perdomo

by Barbara Miller

Sean Patrick Thomas, who plays Polarity in “Gen V”, has confirmed his return for season 2, which will pay tribute to Chance Perdomo (who played his on-screen son Andre). Perdomo’s tragic death in a motorcycle accident in March, just before season 2’s principal photography, halted production. Filming wrapped in November and the show’s set to return in 2025.

Thomas told that while he won’t reveal too much, Polarity will be in season 2 and it’ll be a tribute to Perdomo in many ways.

What this means for season 2 is that it’ll need to address Andre’s absence. Season 1 ended with certain events involving Andre, and his absence now could lead to a darker plot as the show didn’t recast him but instead underwent a rewrite. Producers have promised to honor Perdomo’s legacy, suggesting the plot will shift to write him off.

With the heroes’ situation at the end of season 1 and the circumstances around Andre, season 2’s stakes are higher than ever. It’ll likely have a heavier tone, and how Andre’s story wraps up will impact other characters like Polarity, though it’s unclear exactly where the season will take them.
