In an exciting development in the entertainment world, Anne Hathaway and “The Destroyer” Dave Bautista are set to team up for an untitled action comedy. The screenplay for this project is penned by Jonathan Tropper, who is known for his work on “The Adam Project”. The movie is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO, with both Hathaway and Bautista getting involved in the production process through their respective personal film companies.
The story of the upcoming action comedy draws inspiration from a real-life FBI sting operation. In the film, two agents with contrasting personalities are compelled to pretend to live together as a couple in order to infiltrate a criminal syndicate. At the start, there’s animosity between them. However, as the case progresses and nears its conclusion, they gradually learn to respect one another. The whole comical situation reaches a crescendo at a wedding held in New Jersey.
This untitled movie is just one of the many projects on Hathaway’s plate. She has recently announced her involvement in a total of six projects. Among the much-anticipated ones are the sequels like “The Princess Diaries 3” and “The Devil Wears Prada 2”. Additionally, Hathaway has joined the cast of a mysterious new film by Christopher Nolan. There are also two other projects in the works, including “The Invisible Husband of Frick Island”, which is an adaptation of a novel by Colleen Hoover, and an unnamed thriller with an AI theme, where she’ll be working again with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Apart from these projects that are still in the early stages, Hathaway has two films with confirmed release dates. One is the A24-produced musical film “Mother Mary”, in which Hathaway will showcase her singing talent once again. This film is slated for release in 2025. The other is the thriller “Flower Valley Street”, which is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and has been rescheduled to hit theaters on March 13, 2026. It’s clear that Hathaway has a busy and diverse lineup of projects in the coming years, and fans are eager to see her in these various roles.
