Warner Bros. has revealed the first poster for the James Gunn-remake of Superman in the DCU. This captivating motion poster pays tribute to Christopher Reeve’s portrayal of the iconic character. It shows David Collenswaite’s Superman looking upward as he soars through the sky.
Dressed in the classic red and blue suit, Collenswaite blends seamlessly into the background, generating a remarkable high-speed effect that gives the impression of him hurtling towards the heavens. The simple yet powerful sign reading “Look up” adds to the allure. Accompanying the motion poster is the timeless Superman theme song “Man of Steel” composed by John Williams.
The film, written and directed by James Gunn, known for the “Guardians of the Galaxy” series, won’t be a traditional solo Superman movie. Multiple DC Universe superheroes and other related characters will make appearances, yet Superman will remain the central figure. The story will center around the origins of Kal-El, as he attempts to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his identity as Clark Kent on Earth.
Fans can mark their calendars as “Superman” is set to hit theaters in North America on July 11, 2025.
