After a 30-year break from the golf-themed antics, Adam Sandler is set to return to the fairways in “Happy Gilmore 2”, as revealed by a newly released trailer. Familiar faces are also making a comeback, with Julie Bowien reprising her role as Happy’s love interest Virginia Venet and Christopher McDonald returning as the rival golfer Shooter McGavin.
This sequel marks Sandler’s 13th film in collaboration with writing partner Tim Herlich. Back in 2022, Sandler had shared that “Happy Gilmore 2”, also known as “Golf Crazy 2”, would chronicle the story of his character’s transformation from being an outcast to a golfer competing on a senior golf tour.
The movie is set to feature several new cast members as well, including Bad Bunny, Margaret Curry, Nick Swanson, Travis Kelsey, and others. Fans can look forward to seeing how the story unfolds when “Golf Crazy 2” hits Netflix in 2025.
