The film “First Kiss” (ファーストキス) has released stage photos that offer a peek into its poignant narrative. Directed by Ayuko Tsukahara and featuring an original screenplay by Yuji Sakamoto (known for “Monster”), the movie stars Takako Matsumoto and co-stars Beidou Matsumura. It showcases a tender love scene between Inokana (played by Takako Matsumoto) and her husband Inoku. Toshihiro Yoshioka, Masaya Nakagawa, and Nana Mori also make appearances in the film.
The story unfolds as, in the 15th year of their marriage, Yanqi (played by Matsumura Beidou) dies in an accident. Yan Huan Nai (played by Takako Matsumoto), who had a strained relationship with her husband due to his long-term burnout, is about to embark on a new life when she discovers a way to travel through time. Going back to the past, she sees her husband before they even met. Reunited with her younger husband, Yan Huan Nai falls in love all over again and resolves to save him from the accident that would occur 15 years later.
“First Kiss” is set to be released in Japan on February 17, 2025, and these stage photos have piqued the interest of audiences eager to see how this time-traveling love story will play out on the big screen.
