Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has been postponed, the Duchess of Sussex confirmed in a recent statement.
The decision, reportedly made by Meghan herself, has garnered support from Netflix. In a statement obtained by People, Markle expressed gratitude for the streaming giant’s understanding, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the needs of those affected by the devastating wildfires in her home state of California.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” Markle stated.
Originally scheduled for release on January 15, the series will now premiere on March 4.
Markle, along with her husband Prince Harry, resides in Montecito, where they reportedly received an evacuation warning due to the nearby fires. Fortunately, the couple and their two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, were able to remain in their home. In a show of solidarity, they have opened their residence to friends and neighbors who were forced to evacuate due to the ongoing crisis.
