Netflix’s upcoming drama Apple Cider Vinegar takes viewers on a gripping journey through the world of health and wellness, set against the backdrop of Instagram’s early days. The series follows two young women who embark on a mission to cure their life-threatening illnesses through alternative health practices, all while captivating global online audiences. Their journey, full of inspiration, would be remarkable—if only it were entirely true.
Filmed in Australia, Apple Cider Vinegar boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Kaitlyn Dever (Dopesick, Unbelievable), Alycia Debnam-Carey (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Fear the Walking Dead), Aisha Dee (The Bold Type, Safe Home), Tilda Cobham-Hervey (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, I Am Woman), Ashley Zukerman (Succession), and Mark Coles Smith (Mystery Road: Origin) star in the series. New additions to the cast include Susie Porter (Irreverent, Wentworth), Matt Nable (Transfusion, Last King of the Cross), Phoenix Raei (The Night Agent), Chai Hansen (Night Sky, The New Legends of Monkey), Rick Davies (Offspring), Kieran Darcy-Smith (Mr Inbetween), Catherine McClements (Total Control), and Essie Davis (One Day, The Babadook).
Apple Cider Vinegar is a “true-ish” story based on deception, chronicling the rise and eventual fall of a wellness empire. The show delves into the culture that fueled its creation and the people who ultimately brought it down.
Inspired by Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano’s book The Woman Who Fooled the World, Apple Cider Vinegar is written by Samantha Strauss (The End, Nine Perfect Strangers, Dance Academy) alongside Anya Beyersdorf (The Twelve, Fake) and Angela Betzien (Total Control).
The six-episode series will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, February 6.
