In the early hours of Thursday, renowned actor Saif Ali Khan was brutally attacked during an attempted burglary at his residence in Bandra. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when an intruder broke into his home, resulting in six stab wounds. The assailant’s motive appears to be theft, though the attack quickly escalated into a violent confrontation.
Saif was swiftly rushed to a hospital where he is currently undergoing surgery. His family, in a statement, has asked fans for patience during this difficult time. They assured the public that other family members, including his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children, Taimur and Jeh, are safe and unharmed.
Three Suspects Detained in Connection with the Attack
The Mumbai Police have detained three individuals who were working at Saif’s residence at the time of the attack. Authorities are already investigating the matter and have expressed confidence in apprehending the perpetrator.
In light of the incident, actor and Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan expressed his concern. He conveyed his sadness, emphasizing the shock felt by those close to Saif. “It’s a very sad situation. Saif is a friend and a colleague. The police must act swiftly. The criminal will certainly be caught. I have full faith in the Mumbai Police, and they should be given a harsh punishment. There is also a pressing need to focus on actor security,” Kishan said, adding that he would pray for Saif’s recovery.
He reassured Saif’s family, particularly Kareena, stating, “The government and police are with you. There’s no need for concern; your safety is assured.”
As the investigation unfolds, the community remains shocked by the violence. Mumbai Police have confirmed that Saif’s family members, who were home at the time of the attack, are in good health.
