Disney Pixar has given fans a sneak peek into its upcoming original animated feature, “The Earth Correspondent” (Elio), with the release of a captivating new poster. The image showcases a young boy named Elio, decked out in a complete set of homemade gear, standing on a rooftop with his gaze fixed intently on the far – off expanse of outer space, his eagerness to be “kidnapped” by aliens palpable.
“The Earth Correspondent” is a space – themed adventure that follows the journey of Elio, an imaginative yet somewhat timid lad. Through an unexpected turn of events, Elio is whisked away to the Communiverse of a distant galaxy. Here, the aliens, mistaking him for Earth’s interstellar ambassador to the universe, set the stage for an exciting odyssey. Elio must forge connections with these strange extraterrestrial beings, endure a string of terrifying trials, and ultimately, uncover his true self.
Co – directed by Adrian Molina, the mastermind behind “Coco”, along with Madeline Sarafin (known for “The Cave”) and Shi Zhiyu (from “The Youth Transformer”), the film promises a rich and engaging visual and narrative experience. The voice cast, including Yonas Kibreabu, America Ferrera, Jamila Jameel, and Brad Garnett, adds another layer of allure. With a first – look photo also released, showing Elio waiting for his alien encounter, anticipation is building. “The Earth Correspondent” is set to hit North American theaters on June 13, 2025, and is sure to be a treat for animation and space – adventure enthusiasts alike.
