AMC+ has unveiled the official trailer for Fallen, a new coming-of-age romance drama based on Lauren Kate’s bestselling 2009 fantasy novel. This marks the second screen adaptation of the novel, following a 2016 film produced by Relativity Media, which starred Addison Timlin and Jeremy Irvine.
The series follows Luce, a young woman who is sent to Sword and Cross, a rehabilitation facility with a cult-like atmosphere. There, she faces the repercussions of a crime she cannot even remember committing. The official logline teases the mysterious and suspenseful journey that lies ahead for Luce as she unravels her past and the secrets surrounding her.
Fallen will be available for streaming on AMC+ beginning February 6, 2025. The cast features Jessica Alexander (Get Even, The Little Mermaid) in the lead role of Luce, alongside Gijs Blom (The Letter for the King) as Daniel, Timothy Innes (The Last Kingdom) as Cam, and Josefine Koenig as Arriane. The ensemble also includes Sarah Niles (Ted Lasso) as Ms. Miriam, Alexander Siddig (Game of Thrones) as Dr. Howson, and a talented supporting cast including Lawrence Walker, Esmé Kingdom, Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, and more.
The series is executive produced by Claudia Bluemhuber, James Copp, Florian Dargel, and others, with Matthew Hastings, Farhad Mann, and Bluemhuber directing. The screenplay is penned by Roland Moore, who also serves as the head writer, alongside Rachel Paterson.
The highly anticipated series promises a blend of romance, mystery, and fantasy, set to captivate fans of the original novel and newcomers alike.
