The highly anticipated five-part documentary series Harlem Ice will make its debut on Disney+ on February 12. The series follows the coaches and young athletes of Figure Skating in Harlem as they embark on a transformative journey through competitions, performances, and a life-altering global experience.
Harlem Ice offers an intimate look at the lives of girls of color who are breaking barriers in the traditionally exclusive world of figure skating. Through their eyes, viewers witness the challenges and triumphs of this unique group, as they navigate the pressures of training while striving to make history and gain recognition on the global stage.
The documentary, which highlights both personal and athletic growth, captures the highs and lows of the season for the Figure Skating in Harlem team. These young women are not only perfecting their craft but also shattering the so-called “ice ceiling” to pave the way for future generations in the sport.
Harlem Ice is executive produced by a talented team, including Sara Bernstein, Geeta Gandbhir, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Meredith Kaulfers, Robin Roberts, and Justin Wilkes.
