The latest action-packed series Incognito has swiftly captured the attention of audiences, clinching the No. 1 spot on Netflix Philippines following its premiere on Friday, January 17.
ABS-CBN executive Mico del Rosario took to social media to thank fans for their overwhelming support of the series. “Grateful to everyone who joined the mission. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this project. To God Be The Glory. #Incognito,” he expressed in his post.
The star-studded cast of Incognito includes Daniel Padilla, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, and Anthony Jennings. The series follows a team of misfits seeking redemption as they take on a private military company’s deadly missions against a criminal underworld.
In an interview, lead actor Daniel Padilla shared the unique physical and technical challenges the production presented. “It was difficult because the action sequences were not just typical stunts. Shooting in locations like Madeira, Italy, required us to be precise and disciplined. The stunts were demanding, and we had to follow instructions closely, adding to the complexity,” Padilla explained.
Richard Gutierrez, who plays a pivotal role, described the project as a dream come true. “Working with an ensemble cast was fantastic. This project is more military tactical operation style, something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. The challenge was consistent, especially during our first action scene as a group in Palawan under harsh weather conditions. But the outcome was rewarding, and it forged a strong camaraderie among us,” he said.
Kaila Estrada, who plays a key character, expressed her excitement about working in the action genre. “Incognito allowed me to manifest that dream. Shooting our first scene running in the sand while in full gear was tough. I was so exhausted, they called me ‘Sadness’ because I looked like the character from Inside Out after the scene. Hulas na hulas daw ako. But it was an exhilarating experience,” Estrada recalled.
Following its successful Netflix premiere, Incognito made its debut on iWantTFC on January 18. The series is also scheduled to air on Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, TV5, and A2Z starting January 20, broadening its reach to more viewers across multiple platforms.
