Salmon Arm blues enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting return of Canadian band Blue Moon Marquee, as the celebrated duo will perform at the Song Sparrow Hall this coming April.
After captivating crowds at the 2024 Roots and Blues Festival on the CBC Blues stage, the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society is thrilled to welcome Blue Moon Marquee back to the Shuswap region for an unforgettable live show.
The Juno Award-winning duo, comprised of vocalist and upright bass player Jasmine Ohlhauser and guitarist Al Cardinal, will be taking the stage once again in support of their latest album Scream, Holler and Howl. The duo will be joined by pianist Darcy Philips and saxophonist Alison Young for an expanded live performance, showcasing their unique blend of blues and roots music.
The album Scream, Holler and Howl has already garnered critical acclaim, winning four awards at the prestigious Maple Blues Awards, including Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. It also earned two awards at the Summer Solstice Indigenous Music Awards.
The performance at Song Sparrow Hall is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for this highly anticipated event will go on sale through the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society website starting Monday, Feb. 10. Ticket prices are set at $29.50 for youth, seniors, and society members, while adult tickets will be available for $34.50.
