The highly anticipated fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown is set to welcome four new faces to its star-studded ensemble, as Edie Falco, Lennie James, and Laura Benanti join Jeremy Renner in the Paramount+ drama series.
Falco, known for her iconic roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, will take on the role of Nina Hobbs, the new prison warden at Anchor Bay. James, recognized for his performances in The Walking Dead and Save Me, is set to portray Frank Moses, a legendary gangster whose influence stretches across Detroit and well beyond. Benanti, who has gained fame from shows like Younger and No Hard Feelings, will play Cindy Stephens, a newly recruited correctional officer in the town of Kingstown.
Falco is represented by CAA and Entertainment 360, while James is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Independent Talent Group. Benanti’s representation includes The Gersh Agency, Untitled Entertainment, and Schreck Rose.
The show, which explores the complicated dynamics of incarceration and systemic inequality, revolves around the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of running prisons is the only booming industry. Alongside Renner, who plays the central character, the series features a strong supporting cast, including Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Derek Webster, and Nichole Galicia.
Mayor of Kingstown, co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Dillon, tackles themes of corruption, systemic racism, and the harsh realities of the criminal justice system. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions, with Sheridan, Dillon, and Renner serving as executive producers. Additional executive producers include Dave Erickson, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and others.
