Fresh off his acclaimed performance in Nosferatu, Bill Skarsgård takes on another menacing role in the upcoming horror-thriller Locked, starring opposite Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins. Known for his chilling portrayal of villains, Hopkins returns to familiar territory, evoking memories of his iconic role as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.
Produced by Sam Raimi, Locked promises to deliver a gripping tale of luxury turned deadly. The film will hit theaters on March 21, released by The Avenue.
In Locked, Eddie (Skarsgård) finds himself trapped inside a high-end SUV after attempting a break-in. The vehicle, however, is more than just a car—it’s a meticulously crafted death trap set by William (Hopkins), a self-styled vigilante with a disturbing sense of justice. With no way out, Eddie must fight for survival in a nightmarish scenario where escape is futile, and the line between justice and madness begins to blur.
An American remake of the 2019 Argentinian film 4×4, Locked is helmed by director David Yarovesky, known for Brightburn and Nightbooks. The screenplay is penned by Michael Arlen Ross, based on the original work by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat.
With its tense premise and powerhouse performances, Locked is shaping up to be a must-see thriller for horror fans.
