The much-anticipated film Be Happy, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nora Fatehi, has released its official trailer, offering a glimpse into a powerful story about the bond between a father and his daughter. The film also features performances by Inayat Verma, Johny Lever, and Harleen Sethi.
The narrative centers around a young girl with a passion for dance and her strained relationship with her father, who initially struggles to support her dreams. As the story unfolds, the father comes to terms with his own emotions and begins to champion his daughter’s aspirations, leading to a heartwarming transformation in their bond.
The trailer was unveiled by Prime Video on Instagram, accompanied by a caption that read, “Sometimes it takes two to achieve a dream… #BeHappyOnPrime, March 14.”
Speaking about his role, Bachchan, who plays Shiv, described the character as a father “fighting against time and fate” to make his daughter’s dream come true. “Playing Shiv was an emotional journey,” he said, adding, “Be Happy is more than just a movie; it’s a powerful testament to resilience, reminding us that the bravest thing we can do is keep moving forward, even when life’s toughest moments try to hold us back, much like in dance. The film owes its heart and soul to Remo’s vision and expertise.”
Fatehi, who portrays the young dancer, spoke about the rewarding experience of working on the film. “Portraying a dancer was especially meaningful to me, as it allowed me to merge my two greatest passions—acting and dancing. I’ve always enjoyed working with children, and it was wonderful to see Inayat bring such authenticity to her character,” she shared. Fatehi also praised working alongside Bachchan and director Remo D’Souza. “Reuniting with Remo, a visionary director and renowned choreographer, was equally inspiring,” she said.
Lizelle Remo D’Souza, the producer, reflected on the film’s emotional narrative, noting that it beautifully captures the father-daughter relationship within the context of a dance competition. “Be Happy balances emotion with light-hearted moments, exploring universal themes that will resonate deeply with viewers,” she said.
Be Happy is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 14, offering viewers a moving story of family, dreams, and perseverance.
