Fans of Demon Slayer in Singapore won’t have to wait long for the highly anticipated Infinity Castle movie. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed on Thursday, March 6, the global release dates for the first installment in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy.
The trilogy, which adapts one of the final story arcs from the Demon Slayer manga, will pick up directly after the events of the previous season. The anime left off with the villain Muzan Kibutsuji transporting the Demon Slayers into his lair—the notorious Infinity Castle.
The first movie in the Infinity Castle arc is set to debut in Singapore, Malaysia, and Pakistan on August 14, just four weeks after its Japanese premiere on July 18. This places Singapore among the first countries outside Japan to screen the highly anticipated film.
Meanwhile, fans in the UK, Australia, and the US will have to wait until September for the movie’s release.
Demon Slayer has become one of the most successful anime franchises of all time, receiving widespread acclaim for its compelling themes, stunning animation, and powerful voice performances. Its previous film, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, made history as the highest-grossing movie worldwide in 2020.
