The popular Hallmark drama The Way Home, starring Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow, is set to return for a fourth season in 2026. The series, which has garnered a dedicated fanbase, concluded its third season last Friday. All three seasons are currently available for streaming on Hallmark+.
Samantha DiPippo, Senior Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, praised the show’s creative team, saying, “Our talented writing staff, led by the mother-daughter duo of Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke, continues to amaze us as they raise the bar each season. Their carefully crafted storytelling, which combines family drama, romance, and an absorbing mystery, has captivated viewers and made The Way Home appointment television.”
The announcement of the fourth season comes after a controversial decision last year when Hallmark moved the show from its traditional cable network to the streaming platform Hallmark+ for the third season. The move was intended to boost subscriptions, but it sparked backlash from fans who were unhappy about having to pay extra to continue watching. In response to the negative feedback, Hallmark reversed its decision, restoring the series to its original broadcast format.
