With the release date fast approaching, Star Cinema has dropped a new trailer for the highly anticipated film My Love Will Make You Disappear, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
On Sunday, March 9, the production company unveiled the second trailer, which serves as the director’s cut and the official international preview. The latest footage offers a deeper look into the story of Sari, played by Chiu, a woman who has sworn off love after being convinced that every man she falls for mysteriously vanishes.
Enter Jolo, portrayed by Avelino, Sari’s landlord, who begins to develop feelings for her. As their connection grows, the film teases its central question: will Jolo disappear like the others, or will he defy fate and stay by Sari’s side?
The trailer also features a new rendition of Dilaw, the hit song by OPM artist Maki, which has been specially rearranged for the movie.
My Love Will Make You Disappear marks the first cinematic collaboration between Chiu and Avelino, following their work together on the 2023 drama series Linlang and the 2024 Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?
Joining them in the cast are Wilma Doesnt, Nico Antonio, Martin Escudero, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, and Karina Bautista. The film also includes a special participation from Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, who lends her voice to Sari’s pet, Cookie.
Directed by Chad Vidanes and produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Star Cinema, My Love Will Make You Disappear is set to premiere in Philippine theaters on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Screenings in the US and Canada will follow on Friday, March 28, 2025.
