Apple TV+ Announces New Season of Emmy-Winning Series “Jane”

by Barbara

Apple TV+ has revealed the launch of season three of its acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning series Jane, a captivating and educational adventure for children and families. Inspired by the work of world-renowned ethologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, the series returns with a fresh five-episode installment, set to premiere globally on Friday, April 18. Dr. Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and United Nations Messenger of Peace, will make a special appearance in the new season.

Created by Emmy Award-winning producer J.J. Johnson (Dino Dana, Endlings, Ghostwriter) and produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute, Jane follows the journey of a young environmentalist, Jane Garcia, portrayed by Ava Louise Murchison (Reacher). At just nine years old, Jane embarks on a mission to save endangered animals around the globe. Armed with her boundless imagination, Jane is joined by her best friends David (Mason Blomberg, Shameless) and Greybeard the chimpanzee on daring escapades aimed at safeguarding wildlife. The series reflects Dr. Goodall’s philosophy: “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”

Dr. Goodall shared her enthusiasm for the new season, saying, “I’m excited for the new adventures to come on Jane, and I was delighted to make a guest appearance this season. It’s been amazing seeing this project come to life, and I’m moved that my lifelong work with animals and the natural world has inspired it. I hope it will spark even more positive action in the hearts of children everywhere.”
