Indian action thriller Martin has successfully secured several international distribution agreements, according to a recent announcement by sales agent Indywood Distribution Network at the Hong Kong FilMart.
The film, directed by A.P. Arjun and produced by Uday K. Mehta, tells the gripping story of an Indian Revenue Service officer who suffers amnesia after a traumatic incident in Pakistan. The film has now been acquired for distribution by Energia for Latin America, Capella Film for Russia, C2 Entertainments for the U.S., and Trinity Creative Partnership for the U.K.
Starring Dhruva Sarja in the lead role, Martin also features Vaibhavi Shandilya, Anveshi Jain, and Sukrutha Wagle in supporting roles. The film’s official synopsis reveals that the protagonist, Arjun, awakens in a Pakistani prison with no memory of his past. As he embarks on a dangerous journey to piece together his identity, he uncovers his involvement in a mission to capture Martin, a notorious international crime lord infamous for his signature method of eliminating enemies with a shot to the left eye.
In addition to Martin, Indywood represents a variety of other Indian titles, including Identity, Manjummel Boys, Maharaja, 777 Charlie, The Goat Life, Ayalaan, Marco, Shakahari, Blink, and Kamasutra. The company also recently acquired the international sales rights to The Wrestler (Boli), Bangladesh’s submission for the 97th Academy Awards’ international feature category, and a major award winner at the Busan International Film Festival.
Indywood has established a strong presence in major global film markets, including Cannes, Mipcom, Mip London, and FilMart, solidifying its reputation as a key player in the international distribution landscape.
