David Costabile, best known for his role as Daniel Hardman on the original Suits, is set to make a guest appearance on the recently-launched Suits LA on NBC. It has exclusively confirmed that Costabile will reprise his role in an upcoming episode, though details about his storyline remain under wraps.
Costabile’s return to the Suits universe comes after the appearances of fellow Suits alumni Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman on Suits LA. In the original series, Hardman was a former partner at Pearson Hardman, who was ousted after being caught embezzling funds to support an affair. His character frequently clashed with Harvey Specter and Jessica Pearson in his numerous attempts to reclaim power at the firm.
Costabile has built a remarkable career in television, with notable roles in critically acclaimed series such as Breaking Bad, The Wire, and Billions. He has also appeared in Flight of the Conchords, American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials, and Obliterated. On the big screen, Costabile’s film credits include Lincoln, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, Runner Runner, and Solitary Man.
Suits LA, which premiered on NBC on February 23, has aired four episodes as of now. The series stars Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, and Bryan Greenberg. It reports that the show is averaging 4.8 million viewers across both linear and digital platforms in the first three episodes for which data is available.
The series was created by Suits creator Aaron Korsh, who also serves as an executive producer. Additional executive producers include David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, Anton Cropper, Genevieve Sparling, Rick Muirragui, and Jon Cowan, with UCP serving as the studio.
