The much-awaited trailer for Sikandar, starring Salman Khan, was released on Sunday, giving fans a glimpse into the high-octane action drama. Directed by AR Murugadoss, known for his work on Ghajini and Spyder, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, along with Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj, who plays the antagonist.
The trailer introduces Salman Khan as Sanjay, the powerful ‘Raja Sahab’ of Rajkot, with 49 criminal cases against him. Rashmika’s character describes him with a sharp line: “Every time he comes back home after breaking somebody’s jaw.” In a nod to Bollywood’s iconic films, Salman delivers a line echoing the famous dialogue from Deewar (1975) – “Aap humko bahar dhoondh rahe hain, aur hum aapka aapke ghar pe intezaar kar rahe hain” (“You are looking for me outside, and I am here waiting at your house”), a homage to the dialogue penned by his father, Salim Khan, alongside Javed Akhtar.
As the story unfolds, Sanjay’s journey takes him from Rajkot to Mumbai for a dangerous mission. The trailer is filled with action-packed sequences, with Salman engaging in brutal combat, including scenes where he uses a javelin to take down his enemies.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar promises to deliver an intense cinematic experience when it hits theaters on March 30.
