Kevin Hart and Tim Story Team Up for New Netflix Comedy, “72 Hours”

by Barbara

Comedian Kevin Hart and director Tim Story are once again joining forces, this time for a new Netflix comedy titled 72 Hours. The project reunites the duo, marking their fifth collaboration after a series of successful films, including Think Like a Man and Ride Along, which collectively grossed over $445 million worldwide.

72 Hours features Hart as a 40-year-old executive desperate to salvage his career. His opportunity arises when he is accidentally added to a group text for a wild three-day bachelor party, alongside a group of twenty-somethings. The film is penned by writers Matt Mider & Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg.

The film continues Hart’s fruitful relationship with Netflix, where he has starred in several successful titles such as Lift, Me Time, Fatherhood, and The Man from Toronto. Hart’s comedy special Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only and his hosting of The Roast of Tom Brady were also featured on the platform.

This new project is just the latest in a long-running collaboration between Hart and Story, who have been a powerhouse pair in the comedy genre. Story, who began his blockbuster career with Barbershop in 2002, also directed several segments for Hart’s comedy specials, starting with Laugh at My Pain in 2011.

With 72 Hours, Hart and Story are once again set to deliver a high-energy, laughter-filled film that builds on their proven comedic chemistry.
