A fresh trailer for FX’s highly anticipated sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth has been released, offering fans a glimpse into the chilling adventure that will soon arrive on Hulu. Set to debut this summer, the series promises to delve deeper into the Alien universe with a new twist.

The official synopsis reveals a tense scenario: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that brings them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.”

The trailer opens with a member of a space vessel as it crashes toward Earth. In a moment of desperation, the character abandons a female crewmate in a locked control room, leaving her to face a deadly Xenomorph alone. Set two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 film Alien, the prequel promises to explore new dimensions of the Alien franchise.

Star-Studded Cast Takes the Lead

The series boasts an impressive cast, including Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, Alex Lawther as soldier CJ, Kit Young as Tootles, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly. Additional notable cast members include David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El, Erana James, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, and many more.

A New Direction for the Alien Franchise

Alien: Earth is being led by Noah Hawley, who serves as both writer and director. Hawley confirmed that the series will take a fresh approach, distinct from the Prometheus and Alien: Covenant films. The show is executive produced by Hawley, Ridley Scott, and Dana Gonzales, with Chris Lowenstein producing. Filming took place over six months in Thailand, adding a unique backdrop to the series’ unsettling narrative.

The debut of Alien: Earth on Hulu this summer is set to bring a thrilling new chapter to the Alien saga, exploring the franchise’s first-ever storyline on Earth.
