Actress Bhavana is set to make a much-anticipated return to Tamil cinema after a 14-year hiatus with her upcoming film The Door. Last seen in the 2010 film Asal, starring Ajith Kumar, Bhavana will play a woman entangled in a mysterious case in the suspense thriller.
The trailer for The Door introduces audiences to a series of mysterious deaths linked to a construction site. The narrative hints at a possible connection between these fatalities and the demolition of a local temple. Bhavana’s character is drawn into a web of intrigue as she uncovers her own mysterious ties to the incidents.
The film features a strong supporting cast, including Jayaprakash, Sriranjini, Malayalam actor Nandhu, Kapil Velavan, Priya Venkat, Ramesh Arumugam, Sindhoori, and Sangeetha. The Door is produced by Bhavana’s husband, Naveen Rajan, under the banner of June Dreams Studios. The film’s technical team includes cinematographer Gautham G, composer Varun Unni, and editor Athul Vijay. In addition to Tamil, The Door is set to release in multiple languages, including Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu.
Bhavana began her Tamil film career with the 2006 movie Chithiram Pesuthadi and went on to star in several notable films such as Deepavali, Kizhakku Kadalkarai Salai, Veyil, Koodal Nagar, Aarya, Rameswaram, Vaazhthugal, and Jayamkondaan. She was most recently seen in the Malayalam horror film Hunt.
In addition to The Door, Bhavana has upcoming projects in Kannada, including Pink Note and Uttarakaanda.
