A woman chronicling her dating experiences finds herself entangled in a terrifying encounter with a vampire in The Night Is Young, the latest horror-thriller from director Patrick Rea. The film is set to premiere on digital platforms on April 18, 2025.
Distributed by Terror Films Releasing, The Night Is Young will be available on Tubi TV, Chilling, Scare Network TV, Kings of Horror, Watch Movies Now, and other streaming services.
A Blend of Horror and Found Footage
Starring Sarah McGuire, Valeri Bates, and Jake Jackson, the film follows Nora, a vlogger navigating the modern dating world. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Emilia, a vampire on the run from relentless hunters. As dawn approaches, the two must work together to evade capture before it’s too late.
Director Patrick Rea shared insights into the film’s creative vision, emphasizing his intent to push the boundaries of the found-footage genre.
“As a director, I’ve always strived to bring something fresh to each project. I’ve been a fan of found-footage horror ever since The Blair Witch Project in 1999, but I wanted to explore new storytelling angles while still honoring the genre’s essence,” Rea stated.
A Fast-Paced Production with a Dedicated Team
Filmed over just 12 days in Kansas City during the summer of 2023, The Night Is Young was brought to life by a dedicated cast and crew.
“We were fortunate to collaborate with an incredible team to create what we believe is a fun and engaging horror film—one that blends humor, suspense, and compelling characters. We hope audiences enjoy the ride and leave wanting to see more of these characters,” Rea added.
