‘Grand Blue Dreaming’ Season 2 Trailer Drops with May’n Ending Theme

The official website for the highly anticipated second season of Grand Blue Dreaming, the TV anime adaptation of the manga series by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, has dropped an exciting new trailer. The trailer showcases the anime’s ending theme, titled Hadaka de Dotsukiai feat. May’n, which translates to “Naked Fistfight.”

The song, produced by Japanese hip-hop artist SEAMO, features May’n, who is widely known for her role as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier. May’n expressed her excitement about working with SEAMO for the first time in years, reflecting on the special significance of the year marking her 20th anniversary in the industry. “Grand Blue and SEAMO are such a great tag team! Straightforward, fun, and liberating, this is a must-listen party tune this summer!” she added enthusiastically.

The second season, which follows the success of the first season in 2018, is set to premiere on July 7, 2025. The opening theme for the new season, Seishun Toha, will be performed by Shonan no Kaze, who also provided the opening song for the first season. The track will feature the musical talents of ATARASHII GAKKO!.

Shinji Takamatsu, known for his work on Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto, returns as the director for the second season. The animation will be produced by studios Zero-G and Liber, with Hideoki Kusama overseeing character designs and serving as the chief animation director. The series’ music will be composed by Yukari Hashimoto, who is known for her work on Senpai is an Otokonoko.

The Grand Blue Dreaming manga, which is published in English by Kodansha USA, follows the adventures of Iori Kitahara, a young man who moves to a seaside town for college, expecting a carefree life filled with beautiful women and excitement. However, his college debut turns out to be anything but glamorous when he ends up living at his uncle’s dive shop and becomes involved with the rowdy diving club. The series combines humor, coming-of-age themes, and wild antics, making it a perfect fit for summer viewing.

Fans can look forward to the upcoming season, which promises more of the beloved beer-fueled fun and chaotic adventures that fans have come to expect from Grand Blue Dreaming.
