A new trailer for Havoc, the upcoming action film directed by Gareth Evans, has been released ahead of its Netflix premiere later this month. The film promises the same intense, brutal action that Evans is known for in films like The Raid, while also paying homage to classic Hong Kong action cinema.
Tom Hardy stars in the lead role, supported by an impressive cast that includes Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.
In Havoc, Hardy plays Walker, a weary detective battling his way through a criminal underworld that threatens to overrun his city. After a drug deal goes wrong, Walker finds himself pursued by several dangerous factions: a vengeful crime syndicate, a corrupt politician, and even his fellow officers. When he attempts to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal exposes a deep web of corruption, Walker must face the demons from his past.
Filmed in 2021 with reshoots conducted last summer, Havoc was shot in Wales, one of the largest productions to take place there. Notable locations include Barry Island Pleasure Park in South Wales, Brangwyn Hall in Swansea, and various spots in Cardiff. Fans are eager to see if the iconic Barry Island Pleasure Park will be used for thrilling action sequences.
Havoc will be available on Netflix starting April 25th. Fans are excited to see what Evans has crafted in this highly anticipated film. Hardy is also currently starring in the new Paramount+ series Mobland, which is now rolling out on the streaming service.
