Netflix has dropped the official trailer for Exterritorial, a German action thriller directed by Christian Zübert, set to release at the end of April 2025. The film follows Sara (Jeanne Goursaud), a former Special Forces soldier, who embarks on a high-stakes mission after her son goes missing at a US consulate in Frankfurt, Germany.
In a desperate bid to find him, Sara illegally remains on the consulate grounds despite knowing that German authorities have no jurisdiction there. As she delves deeper into the consulate’s labyrinth, she unknowingly becomes entangled in a dangerous conspiracy. The tension builds as she races against time, unaware of the dark forces conspiring around her.
Exterritorial also stars Dougray Scott, Lera Abova, Kayode Akinyemi, and Annabelle Mandeng. The film is produced by Götz Marx, Kerstin Schmidbauer, Franziska Suppee, and Verena Vogl. It will debut on Netflix on April 30, 2025.
Though the trailer hints at typical action-thriller tropes, the plot promises to be a fast-paced, nerve-wracking journey for viewers. Will it be memorable or fade into the endless stream of Netflix’s forgettable action flicks? Only time will tell.
