The wait is almost over for fans of And Just Like That as the trailer for Season 3 has been released. Max, the streaming service, dropped the first look at the new season, set to premiere on May 29, 2025.

The 12-episode season brings back Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis), each embarking on new journeys. Carrie dives into writing romantic fiction, Miranda takes on a new job and explores potential relationships, while Charlotte watches her daughter start her own romance.

Aidan (John Corbett), who reconnected with Carrie last season, is also back. However, their romance faces new challenges, especially with the complications hinted at in the trailer. At one point, Carrie is seen fleeing from a pack of rats, joking, “Prancing around like in The Nutcracker,” during a lunch with friends.

Season 3 marks nearly two years since the conclusion of Season 2 in August 2023. The delay was mainly due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Before the trailer’s release, few details were known about what to expect. It has been confirmed that Sara Ramírez’s character, Che Diaz, and Karen Pittman’s Professor Nya Wallace will not be part of this season. Ramírez’s departure is due to plot reasons, as Miranda and Che broke up in Season 2. Pittman left due to scheduling conflicts.

The new season will also feature Rosie O’Donnell as a character named Mary, along with Patti LuPone in a new role. Other new cast members include Mehcad Brooks (Law & Order), Jonathan Cake (Desperate Housewives), and Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus), all playing recurring characters. Sebastiano Pigazzi and Dolly Wells have been promoted to series regulars.
