A24 has unveiled a second trailer for Bring Her Back, a new horror film from the directing duo Danny and Michael Philippou. The film is set to hit theaters on May 30.
Following the success of their debut film Talk to Me, the Philippous have kept busy. In addition to working on a sequel (Talk 2 Me) and a prequel (though details on the prequel remain unclear), the directors shifted their focus from a Street Fighter adaptation to Bring Her Back. After 41 days of filming, the horror movie was completed in early August 2024.
Produced by Talk to Me producers Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton of Causeway Films, Bring Her Back explores a chilling ritual uncovered by a brother and sister at their new foster mother’s secluded home.
The film stars Billy Barratt (Invasion), Jonah Wren Philips (Sweet Tooth), Sally-Anne Upton (Wentworth), Stephen Phillips (The Leftovers), newcomer Sora Wong, and two-time Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water).
Although plot details have been kept under wraps, a teaser trailer gave a glimpse of the unsettling premise. In addition, the Philippous are also working on a documentary about their journey into international underground deathmatch wrestling, as reported by Deadline.
The newly released trailer, which dropped just in time for Easter, offers fans another look at what’s in store. Check it out below!
