The first time Thanos was killed in the comics was in the 1991 miniseries “The Infinity Gauntlet.” In this series, Thanos had gained control of all six Infinity Gems, granting him god-like power. He used his new abilities to wipe out half of all life in the universe and become the ruler of the remaining half.

In response, some of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe banded together to stop him. The team included Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, and many others. They fought against Thanos and were able to temporarily subdue him.

During the battle, Adam Warlock, a powerful cosmic being, used the Soul Gem to trap Thanos’ soul inside it. With Thanos no longer a threat, the heroes were able to restore the universe to its former state, and life returned to normal.

However, this was not the end of Thanos’ story. He would return several times over the years, and each time he posed a new threat to the universe. In 2004, Thanos was once again killed, this time in the pages of “Annihilation” #4.

In this series, Thanos allied himself with Annihilus, a powerful cosmic entity who sought to destroy everything in his path. Thanos believed that if he helped Annihilus, he would be able to gain ultimate power and control over the universe.

As the two villains fought against the heroes of the Marvel Universe, Thanos was ultimately defeated by Drax the Destroyer. Drax had been created specifically to kill Thanos and had been seeking revenge for the death of his family. Using all of his strength, Drax was able to pierce Thanos’ heart with a powerful blow, killing him once again.

In conclusion, Thanos has been killed several times in the comics, but his legacy lives on. He continues to be one of the most iconic and memorable villains in the Marvel Universe, and his impact can still be felt today. Whether he is defeated or not, Thanos will always be a force to be reckoned with, and his story will continue to captivate readers for years to come.
